Luke ain't no fool!

Today, Luke pulled me aside to tell me something that he apparently thought would be highly important and secretive. 

He shared, "Mom, I've been thinking about
how I might like to spend my gold." 

Now, I had to think on this for a few seconds. 

Ooohhhh... he's had a small pouch of

pyrite (fool's gold) for probably over a year now. 

So I answered, "What have you decided?"

"I think I need to save it for my son someday,

so he can have a good life."

This boy of mine makes my heart

laugh and smile and cry all at once sometimes.
